Youth Red Cross Society
The Indian Red Cross Society established in 1920 under the Indian Red Cross Society Act and incorporated under the Parliament Act XV of 1920 order of 1957 and the Act. No 14 of 1992. It is a member of the International Federation of the Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies and is recognized by the International Committee of the Red Cross.
The “ Youth Red Cross “ Andhra Pradesh was formed on 26th june, 2001 with the assent of His Excellency the Governor of Andhra Pradesh and President, AP. State Branch of Indian Red Cross Society, Hyderabad.
As per instructions of our District Collector and Chairman of Indian Red Cross Society, Kakinada, we established “College Youth Red Cross” on 22/01/2013. Amalapuram RDO Mr. S.Sampath Kumar inaugurated “Youth Red Cross Society”. This function was accompanied by Chairman of BVC Group sri Bonam Venkata Rajesh, Secretary & Correspondent Sri Bonam Kanakayya, Vice Chairman sri Bonam Krishna Satish, and principal Dr DSV Prasad.
The Indian Red Cross Society aims to inspire, encourage and initiate at all times, all forms of humanitarian activities so that human suffering can be minimized, alleviated and even prevented, thus contribute to creating more congenial climate for peace.
- Blood donation camps And Blood grouping.
- Conduct of health check up camps – Eye and Dental camps
- Visit to homes for destitute.
- Providing help to blind, deaf and dumb and other physically challenged persons.
- Prevention of use of drugs and liquor.
- Awareness against child labour.
- Fire fighting operations.
- Traffic safety programs.
The college youth red cross society conducted Mega Blood Donation Camp Inagurated by Amalapuram R.D.O. Mr. Sampath Kumar and college secretary & correspondent Sri Bonam Kanakayya. In this camp 250 students are donated Blood and Handover to Govt. Hospital, Amalapuram
Mr. J Anjaneyulu, Assistant Professor received Best Youth Red Cross Counselor Award received from Governor, Govt. of Andhra Pradesh through the District Collector East Godavari
